Job Description
The Area Sales Manager role at PhonePe involves driving merchant acquisition and servicing within a designated geographical area through a team of Business Development Executives. The incumbent will play a key role in driving market share of PhonePe in offline business.

Responsibilities:
  • Grow merchant network through acquisition and servicing.
  • Drive quality in execution through audits and reviews.
  • Present products to merchants and manage escalations.
  • Monitor competition and provide inputs to leadership.
  • Ensure brand visibility in the assigned territory.
  • Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and training of BDEs/TLs.
  • Monitor KPIs and coach team members.
  • Drive team retention and engagement.

Requirements:
  • MBA from Tier 2/3 campus with good academic record.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales managing a sales team.
  • Experience in Telecom, FMCG, or Retail (B2C preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Field sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Exposure to the start-up environment is an advantage.
  • Problem-solving abilities and strong ethics.
