Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

VGW, an interactive entertainment company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Technology team in Sydney. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for driving the evolution of VGW's data products by collaborating with teams to design and maintain resilient, cloud-native pipelines that deliver scalable, high-impact insights.

The role involves:

• Building and operating cloud-native data platforms (AWS and Snowflake).
• Providing technical leadership, including coaching teams, defining standards, and driving best practices.
• Demonstrating deep proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling.
• Utilizing expertise in Infrastructure as Code and delivery pipelines (Terraform, GitHub Actions).
• Turning ambiguous problems into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise in building and operating cloud-native data platforms (AWS and Snowflake).
