BarkleyOKRP is seeking a Senior Copywriter to join their team. The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for crafting ideas and executing advertising consistent with the agreed-upon strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for their craft and the raw talent to be great. They should be prolific and eager to hone their skills, learning from mentors and continuously improving. They should be resilient and persistent, adapting their work to feedback while maintaining their creative standards. The Senior Copywriter will bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table daily and stay attuned to cultural trends. They should be adept at presenting ideas effectively, both internally and to clients.Role involves:- Gaining a thorough understanding of the client’s business and industry.
- Developing creative strategies and ideas that are innovative and that sell.
- Concepting and executing advertising consistent with the agreed-upon strategy.
- Developing original written concepts.
- Working collaboratively as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment.
- Owning scripts through revisions and versions.
- Demonstrating good client presentation skills, conveying a clear vision of how the work addresses the client's challenge.
- Seeing all work through completion on time and on budget under the direction of the Creative Director.
- Working productively and harmoniously as a teammate with Art Directors and producers.
- Reviewing proofs, rough cuts, etc. for accuracy before final production.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or industry equivalent years of experience required.
- 3+ years preferred related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hybrid schedule based out of the Kansas City, MO office.
- Relocation assistance for candidates interested in moving to the Kansas City area.
