Job Description
Jencap is seeking a Technical Assistant-Underwriting Assistant to join their Commercial Lines team. This role provides technical underwriting support for assigned accounts and agencies, and involves making individual underwriting decisions on referred accounts. The position is based in the Jencap - Red Bank, NJ office.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicating with clients, underwriters, and internal staff.
  • Assisting in marketing strategy development.
  • Responding to inquiries from brokers, clients, and underwriters.
  • Meeting with broker/underwriting teams.
  • Rating policies and endorsements.
  • Developing information for processing policies and loss runs.
  • Preparing quotations and proposals.
  • Entering and researching information in the ImageWright system.
  • Requesting additional information from brokers.
  • Performing routine follow-ups and referrals.
  • Assisting underwriters with requests and comments.
  • Processing preliminary evaluations of company loss experience.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of similar related job experience.
  • Recommend employee pursue entry level insurance related courses.
