AI Systems Engineer

Job Description

Perplexity is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to join their expanding team in London. The company has experienced significant growth since launching its conversational answer engine and serves numerous daily queries. It also provides Perplexity Enterprise Pro to leading companies and is supported by prominent technology investors. The role involves working on large-scale deployment of machine learning models for real-time inference.

Responsibilities:

• Develop robust APIs for AI inference.
• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure.
• Benchmark system performance and implement improvements.
• Enhance system reliability and observability.
• Respond to system outages and maintain high uptime.

Qualifications:

• Experience in developing APIs and managing distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with deploying reliable, distributed, real-time systems at scale.
• High level familiarity with LLM architecture.
