Job Description
Axon is seeking an experienced litigator to serve as a contract in-house counsel, focusing on civil litigation matters, including intellectual property and products liability cases. This role reports to the VP of Litigation. The candidate will represent the company in claims, litigation, and administrative proceedings.
What this role involves:
- Large document case management, including ESI and forensic discovery.
- Privilege review and privilege log preparation.
- Developing and executing proactive discovery strategies.
- Responding to company subpoenas and taking/defending depositions.
- Drafting and arguing motions.
- Participating in trial preparation, including jury research.
- Providing advice on best practices and risk avoidance.
Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited institution.
- Admission to a State Bar within the United States.
- Minimum 5 years of litigation, discovery, and trial experience.
- Intellectual property litigation experience preferred.
- Excellent writing, analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organization/prioritization skills.
- Advanced computer and technology skills.
