Job Description
Axon is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer II to join their APX SRE organization in London. This role involves delivering solutions to real-time problems encountered by mission-critical cloud-native services and ensuring high quality and reliability for customers. The engineer will collaborate with the APX SRE organization and influence the entire engineering organization to enable continuous feature delivery.

What This Role Involves:
  • Building robust, easy-to-use foundational platforms and tools.
  • Exemplifying cloud-native site reliability best practices.
  • Writing performant, maintainable, clear, and concise code.
  • Debugging problems in cloud-native distributed systems.
  • Influencing and educating the engineering organization.
  • Providing robust documentation for self-service.
  • Taking calculated risks and championing new ideas.

Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain UK SC level clearance.
  • 10+ years of applicable experience.
  • Experience managing cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar).
  • Experience operating in Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, or similar).
  • Experience using languages (Python, Go, C#, Java, or similar).
  • Experience of code collaboration (GitHub, ArgoCD, or similar).
  • Experience utilizing CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience using observability tools (APM, logging, and metrics).
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Cloudformation, or similar).
  • Experience designing tooling to simplify operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems.
  • Familiarity with building flexible and testable Infrastructure as Code modules.
  • Empathy to support the needs of software engineers.
