Job Description
Vonage is seeking a SDET III (Backend & API Test Engineer) to join their team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building impactful products and ensuring customer success. This role involves developing automated tools and tests to streamline software development and elevate product quality. Vonage's platform handles nearly 1 billion API calls per month, making this a challenging and rewarding opportunity.
What this role involves:
- Developing automated tests and test frameworks.
- Conducting functional and non-functional testing.
- Optimizing and improving CI/CD pipelines.
- Identifying and implementing quality processes.
- Automating aspects of the software development lifecycle.
- Reviewing code and designs.
- Upskilling and mentoring team members.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in automation testing for REST APIs.
- Coding proficiency in Python or Java.
- Experience with performance testing frameworks (e.g., Gatling, wrk2).
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and Nomad.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Grafana and Kibana.
