Rimes is seeking a Jira Applications Specialist to manage and optimize Jira applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of Jira applications within the organization. This role is essential for streamlining processes and enhancing the overall functionality of Jira and other products in the Atlassian suite for both the organization and its clients. The Jira Applications Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Jira is effectively leveraged to support project management, issue tracking, and various related tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing system admin support for Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and associated add-ons and integrations.
  • Managing Jira projects, users, permissions, screen schemes, notification schemes, custom fields, field configurations, and workflows.
  • Evaluating JIRA and Confluence plug-ins, determining licensing needs, and performing testing, installation, and configuration.
  • Managing global and project customization.
  • Installing and configuring custom Jira add-ons.
  • Developing automated scripts, post functions, and triggers using REST API and Webhooks.
  • Establishing standards, best practices, and governance for managing Jira and Confluence.
  • Providing technical support for user management, creating custom dashboards, projects, issues, queries, workflows, and reports.
  • Writing custom JQL to construct custom dashboards, advanced filters, and reports.
  • Experience in migrating Jira from one instance into another.
  • Working with Atlassian support for issue resolution.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements for business processes and optimize tools.
  • Providing recommendations on best practices and standardization.
  • Developing and maintaining technical and user-facing documentation.
  • Maintaining a healthy application environment by periodically reviewing and modifying configurations, permissions, workflows, dashboards, integrations, and logs.

Requirements include:

  • Experience with back-end configuration and setup of Atlassian Suite of Products (Cloud version): JIRA Software, JIRA Service Management, Confluence, Tempo
  • Atlassian JIRA Service Management Client portal configuration and maintenance
  • KOJI Chatbot maintenance and support
  • JIRA Service Management Workflow design, configuration and automation
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira, JSM, Confluence, and Atlassian add-ons such as, Automation for Jira
  • Working knowledge on Webhooks
  • Process governance experience or strong automation workflow knowledge
  • Experience with Agile methodology lifecycle
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience
  • Self-starter with less supervision

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
