Job Description
BitGo is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead and scale its Custody Engineering division in India. This role is pivotal for ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability of BitGo's custody solutions. The Director will manage Engineering Managers, foster a culture of excellence, and empower teams to deliver world-class custody products.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders to define a technical vision for the Custody platform.
- Lead and mentor Engineering Managers and their teams.
- Enhance the security, scalability, and reliability of custody solutions.
- Ensure quality, security, and user experience across custody platforms.
- Cultivate an engineering culture embodying BitGo’s core values.
- Build collaborative relationships across the organization.
- Attract and retain top-tier engineering talent in India.
- Establish clear objectives and key results for the Custody division.
Requirements:
- 12+ years in software engineering, with 6+ years in people management.
- 3+ years leading Engineering Managers in a scaling environment.
- Technical leadership in complex, secure software systems.
- Experience in platform security, reliability, and innovation in financial systems or digital asset custody.
- Passion for cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech.
- Track record of sourcing and developing engineering talent.
- History of collaboration with Product Management.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
