Job Description
Axon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join their team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and consistent manufacturing of life-saving technology. The Manufacturing Engineer will support the equipment, processes, and personnel in Axon’s Phoenix manufacturing facility for De-Escalation Devices & accessories.
Role involves:
- Developing manufacturing processes to meet cost, ergonomics, quality, and cycle time targets.
- Providing support to production lines for process or equipment needs.
- Researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Providing engineering guidance to technicians, trainers, and production leads.
- Evaluating and selecting manufacturing equipment, robotics, and automation technologies.
- Partnering with Quality, R&D, Product, and Automation teams.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Knowledge of common manufacturing methods.
- Experience with high-volume automated processes.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to create clear, comprehensive, and concise documentation.
- Ability to lead Root Cause Analysis investigations.
