Engineering Manager, Service Infrastructure

Anthropic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Service Infrastructure team in San Francisco, CA. This role involves shaping the future of how Anthropic builds and deploys AI systems at scale. The team is responsible for architecting the foundation that empowers the entire organization to build revolutionary AI products.Responsibilities include:

• Building and leading a high-performing team of infrastructure engineers.
• Architecting and building scalable service infrastructure.
• Developing multi-cluster Kubernetes and service mesh solutions.
• Leading the evolution of extending research infrastructure for product teams.
• Collaborating with product teams to understand their needs.
• Making build vs buy decisions.
• Setting the strategic vision for service infrastructure.

Requirements include:

• 8+ years of experience working in infrastructure.
• 3+ years of experience managing an infrastructure team.
• Strong technical background in service management, Kubernetes, networking, CI/CD, or general infrastructure.
• Startup approach of moving fast and iterating.
• Experience recruiting, scaling, and retaining engineering talent.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
