Job Description
Anthropic is seeking a Lead Employment Counsel, EMEA, to establish the employment legal function for its growing European workforce. This role involves partnering with the People team and business stakeholders to develop and implement compliant employment programs across various European jurisdictions. The Lead Employment Counsel will ensure alignment with Anthropic's values and People philosophy, fostering a culture of high performance.Responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing compliant employment programs and practices.
  • Partnering with the People team on employment law issues.
  • Crafting clear written guidance and policies.
  • Identifying and mitigating employment legal risks.
  • Developing training programs on employment legal topics.
  • Managing relationships with outside counsel.
  • Staying updated on employment laws and regulations.
Requirements include:
  • Qualified lawyer in at least one EMEA jurisdiction.
  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience in labor and employment law.
  • Experience supporting teams in the European Union, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
  • Humble, thoughtful, and operates with integrity.
  • Strategic, flexible, and solution-oriented.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
