Job Description
Clutch, Canada's largest online used car retailer, is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead all accounting functions. This role is based on-site in Toronto and reports to the CFO. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for building a streamlined month-end close, managing inventory costing, ensuring IFRS compliance, overseeing external audits, designing and implementing internal controls, managing AP and AR, ensuring tax compliance, and preparing for a potential IPO.
Role Involves:
- Building and running monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
- Owning cost and inventory accounting.
- Designing and implementing internal control and risk management frameworks.
- Leading external audits and statutory reporting.
- Driving ERP/finance stack evolution.
- Building, mentoring, and scaling an accounting team.
- Managing the full tax cycle.
Requirements:
- CPA with 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership.
- Experience with a high-growth company that went through an IPO or became SOX/NI 52-109 compliant.
- Deep manufacturing or complex supply chain experience.
- Command of IFRS (and ideally U.S. GAAP).
- Experience with corporate income tax accounting and compliance.
- Experience building and leading teams.
