Job Description
AirTrunk is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel - Banking to join their team in North Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing data centre company in the APJ region. The Senior Legal Counsel will report to the Director – Legal Corporate Transactions and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region.
Role Involves:
- Leading and driving key treasury and debt capital market workstreams.
- Advising on, structuring, and shaping new and existing financings.
- Honing new skills and expertise in treasury, finance, tax, construction and development, sustainability and energy.
- Providing expert legal advice on banking and finance workstreams.
- Reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing complex financial transaction documents.
- Evaluating and managing legal and regulatory risks.
- Monitoring and identifying emerging legal and regulatory issues.
Requirements:
- Law degree from an accredited law school and current Australian practising certificate.
- Minimum of 8 + years banking and finance experience.
- Experience in Asia Pacific & Japan highly regarded.
- Experience in advising on complex and innovative financial structures.
- Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgement and commercial acumen.
- Excellent influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to autonomously and efficiently manage multiple workstreams, priorities and stakeholders.
