Job Description
Flow Traders is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to focus on Trading Conduct and Ethics within their Amsterdam team. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a leading proprietary trading firm known for its entrepreneurial and innovative culture. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for monitoring trading activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with various teams to enhance control effectiveness and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities include:
  • Establishing and maintaining ongoing monitoring of trading desk operations.
  • Reviewing activities for compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Collaborating with the Trade Surveillance team to identify potential market manipulation and abuse.
  • Monitoring communications related to trading activities.
  • Collaborating with IT and security teams to ensure effective surveillance tools.
  • Identifying and addressing potential gaps in monitoring control frameworks.
  • Overseeing personal account transactions.
  • Developing reports on findings and risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a trading compliance role, with a focus on conduct and ethics, market abuse monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products, trading operations, and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., MAR, MIFID II, etc.).
  • Proven ability to lead and initiate monitoring activities.
  • Knowledge of European exchange rulebooks is a strong plus.
  • Experience with communication monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, SQL, and/or VBA is a plus.
  • Proactive attitude, excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to collaborate across departments.
