Job Description
Anaplan is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to join its Technology Sourcing Team. This role will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives across IT and Enterprise technology categories. The ideal candidate will drive supplier strategy, optimize cost structures, manage supplier risk, and ensure alignment with corporate technology and operational goals. This role requires hybrid work from San Francisco, San Ramon, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, or Ottawa, with two days/week onsite.
Role involves:
- Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for technology spend categories.
- Leading end-to-end RFX processes, negotiations, and vendor selections.
- Managing key supplier relationships and performance.
- Acting as a strategic advisor to internal partners on procurement best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and security standards.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in indirect sourcing, procurement, or category management, with a focus on the technology category.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic sourcing and category management strategies in technology categories.
- Proven negotiation skills and a track record of achieving significant cost savings and supplier value.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Deep knowledge of category products and concepts to conduct technical discussions with stakeholders.
- Experience in supplier contracting with a solid understanding of standard commercial terms and conditions.
- Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
