Manager, Software Engineering

Job Description

• Managing 4-6 engineers, including coaching and performance reviews.
• Working with code, doing code reviews, and improving software development practices.
• Partnering with Architecture, QA, Infrastructure, and Ops teams on technical initiatives.
• Collaborating with Product, PMO, stakeholders, and peers to coordinate work and gather feedback.
• Making operational decisions to execute against goals and project plans.
• Participating in recruiting and retention efforts.

• 5+ years of relevant, hands-on and technical leadership experience as a senior or lead software engineer.
• 3+ years of relevant people management experience with at least 3 direct reports.
• Strong skills and experience in systems design and full stack development with ReactJS, .NET and SQL.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and the tools used.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and provide strategic insight and analysis to solve problems and make improvements.
• Experience working in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment.
• Experience working with and deploying to AWS.
