Operations Manager [Catalogue Manager]

Job Description

Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is seeking an Operations Manager to join their Merchandising, Promotions & Catalogue team in Cape Town. This role involves managing a team responsible for catalogue data uploads and edits, ensuring quality and turnaround times are met. The Operations Manager will report to the Head of Merchandising, Promotions & Catalogue.

Responsibilities:

• Managing a team for catalogue data uploads and edits.
• Reporting on catalogue activity and productivity.
• Fault finding and implementing preventative measures.
• Ensuring standards and processes for accurate listings.
• Balancing resources between operational teams.
• Maintaining catalogue systems and user guides.
• Working cross-functionally with Retail and Marketplace teams.
• Managing catalogue creation charge-out for Merchants.
• Coordinating photography services.

• Bachelor’s degree or similar related to management or 5-10 years relevant working experience
• 3 Years+ managerial experience
• Experience with large-data (Advantageous)
• Retail/FMCG experience (Advantageous)
• Proven track record in managing a large team
• Track record of improving business systems and processes
• Able to communicate business requirements to product teams
