GitLab is seeking a Technical Architect to join its Professional Services team. This remote role, based in Japan, involves working closely with salespeople to define custom professional services projects and provide technical oversight during delivery. The Technical Architect will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring successful engagement outcomes. This role involves design, development, implementation, and support of GitLab-related Professional Services engagements. They will also coordinate and oversee functional implementation activities for internal and partner consultants and developers.

Responsibilities include:
  • Articulating the benefits of GitLab DevSecOps to clients
  • Leading technical discovery sessions
  • Owning the design, development, implementation, and support of GitLab-related projects
  • Providing technical leadership to the Professional Service Engineering team
  • Mentoring PS and partner consultants

Requirements include:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and ideally English
  • Experience in delivering consulting services such as SCM migration
  • Experience in delivering consulting services such as Cloud Architecture
  • Experience in delivering consulting services such as Developer CI/CD
  • Progressive enterprise-level software development experience
  • Progressive DevOps Platform experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
