Job Description
Carbon is seeking a Sales Director to expand its platform in dental laboratory and manufacturing businesses across the MidWest US. This role involves in-depth knowledge of traditional and additive manufacturing methods within dental laboratories. The Sales Director will build strong business cases for production transformation and navigate a capital equipment sales process. This is an individual contributor, quota-carrying sales role with travel up to 50% of the time. The preferred locations are MN, IL (Chicago), WI, St.Louis, or Kansas City.
Role involves:
  • Establishing technical competency in Carbon additive manufacturing and digital dental workflows.
  • Achieving monthly sales goals by selling new Carbon subscriptions.
  • Executing territory business plan and identifying new opportunities.
  • Building an active sales funnel of qualified opportunities in Salesforce.com.
  • Using consultative selling approach to understand customer challenges and business objectives.
  • Building business cases that demonstrate the economic impact of changing method of manufacturing.
  • Stimulating market awareness and building Carbon advocates at each account.
  • Supporting selling efforts by attending industry events and trade shows.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 year’s sales experience and consistent record of annual over-quota sales results in dental technology or capital equipment.
  • Ability to work from a home office in defined territory and travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend technical information to effectively educate customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and detail skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Salesforce.com, Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, as well as Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
