Job Description
Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking a Software Engineer Co-op to join their Software Development team in Vancouver, Canada. This is an 8-month co-op position where the successful candidate will contribute to the development and support of the studio's computing, software, and production management technology platform.
Role involves:
- Learning and applying in-house proprietary and 3rd Party software.
- Providing customer service and technical assistance to users.
- Collaborating with teammates to develop new tools or overhaul legacy tools.
- Directly interacting with end users to provide customer support.
- Participating in team daily stand ups.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in final year and part of an official Co-op program via a University or College.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a technical background in computer science and software engineering.
- Versatility, resourcefulness, and adaptability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or pursuing a Masters in the same fields.
- Must have previously completed an 8 month co-op in Software Development or Quality Assurance (QA).
- Software development experience using Python.
