Job Description

This role is crucial in maintaining and optimizing ProtonVPN's global network, ensuring secure and private internet access for users worldwide. The engineer will be at the forefront of the battle against censorship, designing and implementing robust systems to keep users connected in restrictive environments.What this role involves:
  • Overseeing and optimizing ProtonVPN's rapidly expanding global network.
  • Designing and implementing automation systems for high uptime.
  • Troubleshooting complex technical challenges across different network environments.
  • Developing and enhancing monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Engineering solutions to improve connectivity, stability, performance, and security.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Debian/Linux operating system internals.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using Ansible or similar tools.
  • Python proficiency for developing automation tools and scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring solutions like VictoriaMetrics and Grafana.
  • Understanding of security principles and best practices for infrastructure.
