Job Description
Smartling, a cloud-based, AI-enabled translation platform, is seeking a Business Development Representative. This is a remote, work-from-home position where the individual will be the first point of contact with potential customers, qualifying active buying interest and bridging marketing and sales efforts. The Business Development team is a group of highly motivated sales professionals whose focus is to source and engage with high-potential prospects.

Role Involves:
  • Sourcing and engaging with high-potential prospects and companies.
  • Developing and executing outreach strategies via email, zoom/calling, and social channels.
  • Articulating Smartling’s value proposition to generate curiosity.
  • Acting as a consultative partner, fielding questions, and handling objections.
  • Executing hand-offs to Account Executives once prospects are qualified.
  • Managing prospect and company information in Salesforce.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the product, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
  • Representing Smartling at industry events and conferences.

Requirements:
  • Interest in sales as a career.
  • 1 year of customer-facing experience.
  • Track record of top performance in a competitive environment.
  • Passion and curiosity for technology.
  • Clear communication skills and empathy.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent written skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
