Job Description
Verkada is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their dynamic team focused on building cloud-managed intercom systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on a rapidly growing product line within a startup-like environment, with significant ownership and autonomy. The engineer will collaborate with firmware, mobile, and frontend engineers to develop the intercom product line.
Role involves:
- Driving technical direction and leading teams on project execution.
- Architecting scalable systems and designing latency-sensitive applications.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to design complex systems with robust backend APIs.
- Owning backend systems end-to-end.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of industry backend software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer at a rapidly growing startup or innovative company.
- Deep expertise with relational databases (Postgres experience a plus).
- Demonstrated expertise in either Python or GoLang.
- Experience with Kubernetes a plus.
