Clara, the leading B2B spend management platform in Latin America, is seeking an Acceptance & Fraud Associate for a 6-month contract. The role is crucial for ensuring the security and integrity of Clara's platform by monitoring transaction behavior, detecting fraud patterns, and supporting acceptance strategy across its payment ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and analytical, with a passion for fraud prevention.
What this role involves:
- Analyzing transaction flows and user behaviors to detect unusual patterns.
- Investigating potential fraud cases and escalating risk events.
- Monitoring fraud KPIs and triggering alerts or block rules.
- Identifying patterns in failed transactions and conversion issues.
- Using internal dashboards and tools to report insights on fraud trends.
- Collaborating with Compliance, Customer Experience, and Product teams.
- Suggesting process enhancements based on findings from investigations.
- Contributing to documentation of fraud typologies and operational playbooks.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in fraud detection, acceptance operations, risk analysis, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Experience investigating fraudulent transactions and identifying suspicious patterns using data tools.
- Familiarity with payment ecosystems, card network rules, and fraud risk indicators.
- Solid analytical skills and the ability to interpret large volumes of data.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- High attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and making decisions with imperfect information.
- Based in Brazil, Mexico, or Colombia (preferred).
- Experience with SQL, Looker, or any fraud/monitoring platforms is a plus.
