Licensed Automotive Technician

Job Description

Clutch, a company reinventing the car buying experience in Canada, is seeking a Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join their team in Etobicoke, ON. The technician will be responsible for performing vehicle inspections, maintenance work, and minor repairs to ensure all vehicles meet Clutch's high mechanical standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working on European vehicles, be highly organized, and possess strong communication skills and attention to detail.

What this role involves:

• Performing Clutch standardized vehicle inspections (stationary and road tests)
• Diagnosing and assessing vehicle issues and damage
• Performing Ontario Provincial Safety Inspections
• Making recommendations about vehicle repairs and the best course of action
• Performing repairs and preventative maintenance, such as oil changes, suspension, and brake jobs
• Creating documentation of repairs and estimates
• Adhering to and continually help improve Clutch’s high mechanical standards

Requirements:

• Red Seal or equivalent certification or training
• Experience working with a variety of car brands (domestic, import & European)
• Team player above all else
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands
• Desire to learn new skills
• User of technology (Google Drive, Slack, etc.)
• Valid Driver’s License (Clean Driver’s Abstract)
