Sr. Scientist of Immunology

Job Description

Legend Biotech is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist of Immunology to join their Research & Early Development team in Piscataway, NJ. This role involves contributing to the company's growing pipeline of innovative cell therapies for oncology and autoimmune disease (AID) indications. The Senior Scientist will work under minimal supervision, responsible for the timely execution and delivery of projects in the discovery pipelines.Role involves:

• Isolating immune cells from leukopak or blood samples.
• Activating/expanding immune cells and measuring phenotypes.
• Performing functional assays, including cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion.
• Conducting virus genome engineering and characterizing engineered virus particles.
• Developing and optimizing immunoassays to detect host immune response.
• Performing functional analysis of immune cells transduced in vitro and in vivo.
• Preparing reports, publications, presentations, and patent application documents.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in immunology, oncology, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of experience in cell therapy, immunology, self-replicating virology, or AID.
• Experience with in vivo CAR-T and/or deep understanding of AID.
• Extensive experience in cellular and immune cell-based analytics and assay development.
• Extensive experience of lentivirus or self-replicating RNA engineering.
• Strong hands-on skills and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
