Job Description
Workato is seeking a Data Engineer to join their data team. The Data Engineer will play a key role in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, data models, and critical analytics dashboards. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SQL, DBT, Python, and Business Intelligence tools.Role involves:
  • Designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines.
  • Developing and optimizing ELT-based data models using SQL and DBT.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs.
  • Leveraging Python to conduct complex data analysis.
  • Creating and managing advanced dashboards and reports using BI tools.
  • Ensuring data accuracy and integrity through validation and testing.
  • Maintaining compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.
  • Exploring and adopting innovative tools and technologies.
  • Developing advanced monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Translating business requirements into structured data models.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in ETL/ELT development and data warehousing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using data integration tools.
  • Experience with modern data warehouse platforms.
  • Solid experience using data transformation tools like DBT or SQLMesh.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with AI technologies (advantageous).
  • Experience developing or deploying intelligent agents or automations using AI frameworks (advantageous).
  • Knowledge or experience with cloud services (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with automation platforms like Workato (advantageous).
  • Experience with real-time analytics and data streaming technologies (advantageous).
