Job Description
Tekion is seeking a Lead Instructional Learning Designer to join their team. This role involves developing instructional materials and content to support effective learning experiences within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to create engaging and comprehensive learning modules. Role involves:
- Collaborating with instructional designers and subject matter experts to design and develop instructional materials, courses, and learning modules.
- Facilitating thorough needs assessments to identify learning objectives, target audience, and performance gaps.
- Designing interactive instructional content including, story boards, outlines, Learning activities.
- Assisting in the creation of storyboards and outlines for instructional content, mapping out the flow and structure of learning materials.
- Reviewing and editing instructional materials for clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Working closely with instructional developers, stakeholders, and other team members to gather feedback and make improvements to instructional materials.
- Participating in evaluating the effectiveness of instructional materials and make recommendations for improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in instructional design, communication, education, or a related field plus 2+ years of experience
- Effective communication skills
- Attention to detail
- A creative approach to designing engaging learning experiences
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders to create comprehensive learning materials
- Experience creation of storyboards
- An entrepreneurial mindset that balances creative problem solving with drive to deliver outcomes
