Lead Salesforce Engineer

Job Description

Tekion is seeking a Lead Salesforce Engineer to lead and manage the design, development, and optimization of their Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end CPQ implementations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline quoting, pricing, and billing processes. This role ensures CPQ processes align with SaaS business models, including subscriptions, renewals, and amendments.Tekion is looking for someone to:

• Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of Salesforce CPQ solutions.
• Design scalable Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ solutions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Manage and mentor a team of Salesforce developers and admins.
• Drive system integration strategies with ERP, billing, and other third-party platforms.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, solution design artifacts, and data models.
• Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and security compliance across Salesforce solutions.
• Drive best practices around DevOps (CI/CD), testing, and change management.

Requirements for the role include:

• 8+ years of experience on the Salesforce platform with 3+ years of Salesforce CPQ implementation and architecture experience.
• Strong understanding of CPQ capabilities.
• Deep understanding of SaaS-specific CPQ use cases.
• Proficient in Apex, SOQL, Lightning Components, and Flow.
• Experience with Salesforce integrations to ERP systems like NetSuite.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data modeling, and governor limits.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps (CI/CD).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist and Salesforce Platform Developer I (or higher).
