Class 1A Driver

Job Description

Farmers Business Network (FBN) is seeking a Class 1A Driver in Saskatoon, SK, to contribute to their mission of empowering family farmers. The driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient material movement, local delivery of chemical, fertilizer, and seed, while also undertaking warehouse duties. This role involves direct customer interaction, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Responsibilities:

• Driving, delivery, and physical movement of product.
• Adhering to legal and safety procedures.
• Managing safe and efficient deliveries to customers.
• Ensuring proper functioning of all tools and equipment.
• Verifying order accuracy and safe loading.
• Operating equipment like box trucks and forklifts.
• Coordinating shipment paperwork and handling returns.
• Completing safety and quality audits.
• Complying with regulations and company policies.
• Collecting and verifying delivery instructions.
• Reporting defects and violations.

Requirements:

• Current Class 1A license and clean driving record.
• TDG and WHMIS endorsement or ability to obtain them.
• 6+ years of experience in product delivery to customer base.
• Experience working in a warehouse.
• Proven experience managing direct customer deliveries.
• Knowledge of safety and legal documentation.
• Excellent leadership and administration skills.
• Ability to manage time and resolve crises.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external workers.
• Ability to work occasional weekend shifts.
• Clean DOT drug/alcohol and physical.
