Job Description

Talkdesk is seeking a commercially minded and collaborative Corporate Counsel to join its growing international legal team. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional to deepen their in-house experience within a high-growth, global SaaS company. The role is based in EMEA and reports to the VP Legal located in the UK. The Corporate Counsel will be part of Talkdesk’s EMEA Legal Team and work closely with a strong General Counsel who values mentorship and professional development. This role offers significant scope for learning, autonomy, and career progression within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The role involves:

  • Acting as a trusted legal advisor to commercial, sales, and partner teams in EMEA.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of contracts, including SaaS licensing agreements, vendor and channel partner agreements.
  • Supporting compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and risk standards.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of scalable contracting processes and playbooks.
  • Providing legal support on EMEA-wide matters, including GDPR compliance, and subsidiary governance.
  • Collaborating with external counsel and internal stakeholders as required.

Requirements:

  • Law degree and active legal qualification in your country of residence.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ in-house legal experience, ideally within a technology or SaaS business.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional European languages such as French, Portuguese, German, or Italian are a strong advantage.
  • Strong experience in commercial contracting and cross-border legal matters.
  • Familiarity with legal issues relevant to software companies in Europe, including GDPR.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
