Job Description

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to contribute to their health IT solutions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating business and functional requirements for technology solutions that align with customer needs, delivery timelines, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of the Manager to provide application solutions for assigned business areas
  • Interact with business users to understand new business requirements and enhancement requests
  • Serve as a liaison role between application technology vendors, internal IS groups, and business users
  • Gather and translate business requirements into product-specific designs and specifications
  • Deliver business process workflow and related design documentation for new development projects
  • Translate business requirements into product-specific designs and configuration, detailed requirement specifications and use cases
  • Provide formal training to team members and documentation as needed for new application functionality, product releases and enhancements and regulatory modifications using business scenarios and use cases
  • Work with the support team to help diagnose and resolve client questions or problems that need development assistance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-4 years of practical experience in providing business process and functional support for assigned product preferred
  • 5-6 years of healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience in requirements gathering and analysis
  • Experience in business analysis documentation
  • Experience working with Agile Principles is an asset
