Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Job Description

Via is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to contribute to a new product aimed at enhancing transit agency services. The engineer will be instrumental in developing solutions that integrate into Via’s existing platform, focusing on improving both agency operations and rider experiences. This role offers the chance to work on a greenfield project, leveraging the resources of a well-established company.

Responsibilities:

• Own features end-to-end, from requirements to deployment.
• Build scalable, high-performance systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams.
• Ensure system stability and resolve production issues.
• Improve developer workflows and tooling.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining web applications.
• Expertise in frontend (React, Angular) and/or backend (Python, Rails, Node.js).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver solutions independently.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD, and observability tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
