Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Sioux Area Metro (SAM) by Via, South Dakota’s largest transportation provider, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician. This role involves maintaining SAM’s properties and ensuring a safe and reliable transportation option for the Sioux Falls community. The company was founded in 2012.

Responsibilities:

• Clean buses, bus shelters, and buildings
• Maintain buildings and grounds
• Perform general yard work
• Undertake light building maintenance

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing
• Valid SD driver’s license
• Ability to obtain a CDL permit
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
• Pass a drug screening and background check
• No felonies
• Clean MVR
• No DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions
• No more than 2 speeding tickets
• At least 21 years old
• Able to apply in person at the Sioux Area Metro office
