Manufacturing Execution System Specialist

Lucid Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Specialist to lead the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the MES within its production environment. This role serves as a crucial link between manufacturing operations and IT, ensuring the MES effectively supports production processes, quality control, and overall operational efficiency.

The MES Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MES with ERP systems and other production-related applications. They will analyze production processes to identify opportunities for system enhancements and provide expert-level technical support for MES-related issues.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Role Involves:

• Requirement gathering from end user and preparing functional requirement documents of MES system.
• Leading the deployment, configuration, and optimization of MES solutions across AMP2 value chain.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing Engineering, IT, SAP, PLM and Quality Assurance) to ensure seamless integration between MES, ERP systems, and other production-related applications.
• Conducting FAT and UAT of MES Solutions and prepare test cases with reports.
• Analyzing current production processes and workflows to identify opportunities for MES system enhancements
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve system efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance overall production output.
• Providing expert-level technical support for MES-related issues, including system troubleshooting and user training.
• Developing and maintaining documentation, including user manuals, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Managing MES-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Developing training programs and conduct training sessions for end-users to maximize the system’s effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, instrumentation, electronics or a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in MES platforms and their integration with ERP (SAP), PLM and other enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with industrial automation, SCADA systems, and PLC programming.
• Proficiency in database management, SQL, and data analytics tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and quality control methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose issues, interpret complex data, and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with technical teams, management, and end-users.
