Job Description

ília, a technology, data, and design specialist, is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer (Java) to join their team in Brazil. The company, with over 450 professionals, drives digital transformation for major market players in the financial, insurance, and mobility sectors across Latin America, Europe, and North America. This role involves developing and maintaining software platforms and infrastructures to facilitate processes, accelerate time to market, and optimize operational costs for engineering teams.

The Senior Backend Software Engineer will partner with product teams to understand their needs, develop scalable and secure software solutions, automate processes, monitor platform performance, and support the platform and services portfolio. They will also participate in development projects, meetings, and discussions to define software development strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining software platforms and infrastructures.
  • Collaborating with product teams to understand requirements.
  • Developing and implementing scalable, efficient, and secure software solutions.
  • Automating processes to improve productivity and quality.
  • Monitoring and analyzing platform performance.
  • Supporting the platform and services portfolio.
  • Participating in meetings and discussions to define software development strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of good development practices.
  • Experience with testing techniques (unit, security, performance, functional, non-functional, automated).
  • Experience in software development.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript programming languages.
  • Knowledge of frameworks and software libraries such as Spring Boot, NestJS, and React.
  • Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, Gitlab, or similar.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Experience in cloud computing AWS, services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS and SNS.
