Senior Area/Local Safety Officer Consultant

ClinChoice is seeking a Senior Area/Local Safety Officer Consultant for a 12-month contract, potentially extendable. This role involves working directly with a single sponsor while benefiting from the stability and career opportunities of a global CRO. The position is based in Cairo, Egypt, with a hybrid model requiring 2-3 days per week onsite.

The Senior Area Safety Officer will ensure local operating company (LOC) safety activities comply with regulations and company policies. They will serve as the main point of contact for pharmacovigilance matters, including cosmetovigilance, materiovigilance, and nutrivigilance, with local health authorities. The role involves establishing and maintaining product vigilance and risk management systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing oversight of vendor resources within AMET.
• Supporting the Area Safety Head with local information for Pharmacovigilance System Master Files.
• Managing safety reporting and submissions to local health authorities.
• Maintaining knowledge of local pharmacovigilance requirements.
• Supporting local health authority inspections and audits.

Requirements:

• Health care science professional (Physician, Pharmacist).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience with product vigilance responsibility.
• Knowledge of general medicine, pharmacy, and clinical practice.
• Familiarity with industry principles of product vigilance and drug development.
• Fluency in English.
