Job Description
Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a dedicated IT Support Desk/Internal Infrastructure Specialist to support PlayStation developers in Tokyo, Japan. This role involves managing gaming PCs, workstations, and Macs used in the development and production of PlayStation hardware and game titles. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for the gaming industry.
Responsibilities:
- Kitting and troubleshooting gaming PCs, workstations, and Macs.
- Selecting specifications and verifying operation for programmers and artists.
- Managing PC, Mac, and workstation assets and their lifecycle, including cost management.
- Providing IT support and consultation to internal staff.
- Planning, building, and operating internal systems.
- Addressing security vulnerabilities and incidents.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in creating documents using Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of gaming PCs.
- Excellent communication skills for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Ability to self-evaluate the quality of work.
- Experience in the game/entertainment industry (preferred).
- Experience using AWS cloud (preferred).
- Experience automating tasks using Microsoft365 (preferred).
- Experience developing scripts with Python, PowerShell, etc. (preferred).
- English: Reading and writing skills (TOEIC 700 or higher).
- Japanese: Business level (JLPT N1 or equivalent).
