CloudKitchens is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, construction, and maintenance of its kitchen spaces in Los Angeles. This role involves engineering building systems, creating construction documentation, and coordinating with vendors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP and will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of the facilities.
Role involves:
Assisting with engineering building systems, including MEP, structural, and civil components.
Creating detailed construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
Performing system sizing calculations for various projects.
Supporting product and vendor selection, including requesting and reviewing vendor equipment submittals.
Collaborating on the Basis of Design development, working cross-functionally with all project disciplines.
Conducting site analysis to assess environmental factors and building constraints.
Reviewing and commenting on EOR Construction Drawings.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural).
5-7 years of relevant work experience, with 3-5 years in a specialized domain.
Experience working with MEP in commercial construction.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and construction documentation tools.
Ability to analyze and optimize building systems for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Experience with vendor coordination and construction administration.
Professional Engineer preferred.
Prior experience with companies such as Arup, AECOM, WeWork, Tesla, or Boeing is a plus.
