Job Description

Jumio is seeking a Software Development Engineer IV (SDE IV) to design and build scalable backend and frontend systems. The SDE IV will take ownership of complex features, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor other engineers. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, production-ready software while embracing innovation and best practices in software engineering.

This role is pivotal to Jumio’s mission of delivering cutting-edge identity verification products. By driving technical excellence and leading by example, the SDE IV will help accelerate product delivery, improve system reliability, and elevate engineering standards across the team.

Role involves:

• Leading end-to-end development of key features across backend and frontend.
• Collaborating with architects to design scalable systems.
• Writing clean, modular, and testable code.
• Guiding junior engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
• Leveraging LLMs and AI tools to streamline development.
• Ensuring high performance and test coverage.
• Partnering with Product Managers to translate business requirements.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong backend skills (e.g., Java, Spring Boot) and proficiency in frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
• Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
