Production Engineer I/II

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Production Engineer I/II to join their Space Systems team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role focuses on process improvements and sustaining work in solar cell and silicon-based production. The Production Engineer will take ownership of Photolithography systems and associated metrology, working with various teams to maximize yield and productivity.

• Support sustaining activities to maximize yield and productivity
• Work with Operations/Equipment Maintenance/Process Technician/R&D Teams
• Own Photolithography process modules
• Plan and perform experiments to improve safety/yield/reliability/throughput
• Scoping and procurement of new equipment and process approaches

Requirements for Production Engineer I:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
• Experience in a production or regulated manufacturing environment

Requirements for Production Engineer II:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
• 2+ Years of experience in a production or regulated manufacturing environment

Nice to have:

• Experience with Photolithography systems and associated metrology
• Breadth of wafer fab (III-V and/or Si) knowledge
• Understanding of statistical methods with a working knowledge of JMP and SQL
• Experience with Photolithography processing modules
• Understanding of solar cell device physics and testing methods
• Solid understanding of metallurgy and material science
• Familiarity with quality/manufacturing methods
