Job Description

Zscaler is seeking a Data Science Lead, Sales Analytics to join its Sales BI & Analytics team. This role involves reporting and business analytics for Sales and Sales-related functions. The Data Science Lead will report to the Senior Sales Operations Manager and will be based in Bangalore, India.

The Data Science Lead will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and design analytical solutions. He will lead Generative AI initiatives, applying Prompt Engineering techniques to optimize output from LLM-based tools. He will also develop and enhance AI agents like chatbots to improve efficiency across sales and operational functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and design analytical solutions
  • Leading Generative AI initiatives by designing, prototyping, and deploying solutions using LLMs
  • Applying Prompt Engineering techniques to craft and refine prompts that optimize the output and insights from LLM-based tools
  • Developing and enhancing AI agents such as chatbots to support decision-making and improve efficiency
  • Selecting and applying appropriate modeling techniques, clearly presenting complex data and insights

Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in advanced statistical analysis and building complex models using Python, R, and ML libraries
  • Proven experience with large language models (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and frameworks to build, deploy, and manage AI agents
  • Skilled in SQL and ETL tools (e.g., DBT) to build data models and support robust data pipelines
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a passion for innovation and continuous learning
