Job Description
SILMC is seeking an IC3 Application Support Engineer to provide expert-level technical support for critical applications. The Application Support Engineer will collaborate with engineering, platform teams, business users, product teams, and vendors to ensure timely and effective resolution of complex application issues. This role is crucial for maintaining application stability and performance, supporting business objectives.
- Provide timely resolution of complex application issues.
- Identify and resolve recurring problems.
- Maintain a knowledge base of troubleshooting procedures.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and optimize them.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare reports on support metrics.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
- Monitor application performance and system health.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation.
- Collaborate in root cause analysis for major incidents.
- Promote an autonomous work culture.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors.
- Lead application-related projects.
- Ensure applications comply with security policies.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Implement performance optimization strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in application support.
- Advanced knowledge of application infrastructure and technologies.
- Advanced experience supporting AWS cloud applications.
- Knowledge of Java and Spring Core framework.
- AWS certification.
- Experience with AWS Lambdas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
- Certifications in IT Operations frameworks (ITIL, Cobit) are a plus.
