Senior Legal Counsel

Job Description

League is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide legal guidance to the sales team and other business units. The Senior Legal Counsel will report to the Deputy General Counsel. They will be responsible for navigating complex commercial agreements, leading negotiations, and contributing to the company's growth in the SaaS industry.League is a platform technology company powering next-generation healthcare consumer experiences. • Acting as a trusted legal advisor to the sales team.
• Spearheading negotiations on enterprise SaaS agreements.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Collaborating with external clients, partners, advisors, and vendors.
• Supporting management by advising on contract interpretation and resolving disputes.
• Overseeing external legal counsel as needed.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in private practice or in-house at a company specializing in enterprise SaaS contracting.
• A J.D./LL.B, in good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
• Proven ability to lead complex commercial negotiations.
• Experience with cross-border transactions and negotiating with international counterparties (US/Canada required; UK/EU, Australia is a plus).
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving tech environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with information technology, software, and SaaS is essential.
