Job Description

OKX, a leading crypto exchange, is seeking a Senior/Staff Engineer - Java (Asset & Custody) to join their team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be involved in a greenfield project, working with a brand-new team within one of the largest crypto exchanges globally. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement high-performing, scalable, and flexible user-centric services to meet the evolving needs of a global user base and changing regulatory requirements. The engineer will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Marketing teams to drive rapid innovation in cross-functional teams.

What this role involves:

  • Designing and implementing high-performing and scalable user services.
  • Collaborating with Product, Design, and Marketing teams.
  • Driving rapid innovation in cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Microservice/API development with Java/SpringBoot/SpringCloud.
  • Knowledgeable in multi-threading and distributed architecture.
  • Understanding of mainstream messaging frameworks including Kafka, Tibco, Informatica UM etc.
  • Solid experience with relational databases.
  • Comfortable with cloud-based Linux environment.
  • Embrace agile development process including TDD, CI and Scrum.
  • Experience working with teams across offices and time zones.
  • Knowledge in Spring Security is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of mandarin is a plus.
