Job Description
Adyen is seeking a Payments Partnerships Lead to manage regional card and alternative payment method partners, including Visa, Mastercard, Alipay, and WeChat Pay, with a focus on the SEA and Hong Kong markets. The role involves leading a high-impact team, building strong relationships with payment partners, and serving as a subject matter expert for payment methods in SEA and Hong Kong. The Payments Partnerships Lead will report to the APAC Head of Partnerships and will be based in Adyen's Singapore office.Role involves:
- Building and nurturing relationships with card schemes and alternative payment methods.
- Defining and executing a proactive partnership strategy for critical card network partners.
- Negotiating complex agreements and driving alignment with partners and internal stakeholders.
- Managing and coaching a team of Payments Partnerships Managers.
- Partnering with product, commercial, and finance teams to define and execute go-to-market strategies.
- Providing market insights to accelerate product development and commercialization efforts.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience managing strategic partnerships in the payments industry.
- Strong understanding of both cards and alternative payments.
- Experience in merchant acquiring is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of the SEA and Hong Kong payments markets.
- Prior leadership experience and ability to lead/mentor direct reports.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Innovative with strong problem-solving capabilities.
