Job Description
IMC is offering a 10-week Trader Intern program in Amsterdam. This internship provides a chance to experience life as a trader. The intern will participate in classroom-based learning, work on a project, and build a network with IMC traders and engineers. The intern will receive support from internship trainers and a mentor. The role includes a competitive compensation package, accommodation, catered meals, and a collaborative culture.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Generate new trading strategies
  • Iterate current trading strategies
  • Work on tooling, functionality, and/or visibility for specific use cases
  • Hone your trading skills by working on a significant project, desk shadowing, and mock trading sessions
  • Attend workshops, trainings, and other fun social activities alongside the full internship cohort

Skills and Experiences:

  • In your penultimate year of study in mathematics, physics, econometrics, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience in a programming language is a plus (e.g. Python, Matlab, or R)
  • You thrive working in an environment where creativity, teamwork, and innovation are recognised and rewarded
  • You want to make an impact on meaningful and challenging projects
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Genuine interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge or experience is required)
  • Must be able to start the internship in June 2026
