Staff Backend Engineer - Grafana IRM (Remote, EMEA)

Job Description

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join the Grafana IRM squad. This is a remote position within the EMEA time zones. The Grafana IRM squad manages business-critical services that assist Grafana and numerous global organizations in incident response. The team's mission is to streamline the detection, response, and learning processes from incidents. The role involves working within frontend, backend, and mobile functional squads, with a focus on unified experience, automation, integration, and Observability Native principles.

The Staff Backend Engineer will influence the roadmap, deliver new features, and drive projects from inception to operation. They will contribute to open-source projects, design, build, and maintain critical systems, and participate in on-call rotations. Mentoring team members, engaging in design discussions, and learning new skills are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements:

• Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go, Python, C++, JVM languages, Rust, or similar)
• Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering to product shipping
• Experience developing software that runs in the Cloud or systems engineering experience
• Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software
